35 militants killed in Afghan Special Forces’ Operations

Thirty-five Taliban militants have been killed during the Afghan Special Forces’s operations in southeastern Khost province, an official said on Monday.

The special forces curried out air and ground operations in Spin Gound, Chawi and Palocha areas of Nadershah Kot district on Monday night, resulting to killing of 35 militants, including key figures Qari Mir Abas, Mullah Hashim and 12 others notorious commanders.

“we received reports that 20 others militants have been wounded and 12 arrested and their several weapons remained in the clash site,” the commander in charge told media, adding security forces also destroyed three important centers belonging to militants.

The Taliban increased their attacks in southeastern provinces particularly in Khost after the US announced its new strategy on Afghanistan.
