Kabul to shutdown for Int’l conference tomorrow

Kabul will have a a “public holiday” on Wednesday in order to host the second round of ‘Kabul Process’ meeting.

Due to security reasons, the capital is scheduled for a complete shutdown as the Kabul Peace Process brings together senior representatives from 23 nations, including the EU, UN and NATO. The aim of the conference is to discuss various ways to combat extremism in Afghanistan and the possibility of making peace with the Taliban.

The capital will be under lockdown and all government and nongovernmental movement will be restricted, according to the Ministry of Labor, Social Affairs, Martyrs and Disabled.
