Hundreds of people rallied in Kabul to express their support for the Pashtun Long March or Pashtun Tahafuz Movement (PTM) across Durand Line, Pakistan.
The March 16 demonstration in front of historical Eidgaa Mosque was attended by hundreds of civil society activists, youth leaders, religious scholars and students from across the country.
The demonstrators held banners that displayed ‘Pakistan is killing, the world is silent’ and ‘Pakistan is killing, the world is watching’ referring to Pakistan maltreatment of Pashtuns and its support for terrorists in Afghanistan.
In the end, the organizers of the rally issued a press release that stated that the world must pressure Pakistan to end its repressive policies against Pashtun inside Pakistan as well as its dual policy of supporting terrorists in Afghanistan. The press release also urged the Taliban to join the peace process as the current mayhem only benefits the enemies of Afghanistan.
Kabul rally comes at time when Pashtun Tahafuz Movement (PTM) led by Manzoor Ahmad Pashteen has been protesting across Pakistan demanding Pakistani state to put an end to their arbitrary killings, military operations, enforced disappearances and putting the Police officer on trial who is accused of killing a young aspiring Pashtun model in Karachi, Pakistan.
