At least 21 people were reportedly killed and 29 others wounded in two back-to-back suicide attacks in the Shash Darak area of Kabul on Monday morning, officials said.
The bombings took place in the limits of the 9th police district close to the National Directorate of Security (NDS) office and the Resolute Support Mission.
Meanwhile according to some sources, the second suicide assault happened in the same area near a gathering of journalists. A dozen of journalists were killed and injured during the incident.
Meanwhile, a spokesman for the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) said 21 dead bodies and 22 injured individuals had been evacuated to hospitals so far.
There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the blasts, but government officials often blame Taliban and Daesh fighters for such attacks.
