Earthquake jolted parts of Afghanistan on Wednesday. Tremors were felt Pakistan and India’s Kashmir, Punjab, Haryana and the national capital region.
The magnitude was 6.2 and the epicenter was Afghanistan-Tajikistan border region.
Earlier, on Wednesday, another 5.5-magnitude earthquake had jolted Afghanistan’s capital and Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, injuring at least nine children and causing panic among the residents, the local media reported.
The epicenter of the quake was the northwestern city of Bannu at a depth of 12 kilometers. The temblor was felt in the Swat Valley and Peshawar, the capital of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province bordering Afghanistan, Pakistan Meteorological Department was quoted as saying by the Express Tribune.
