Raid On Taliban Prison Frees At Least 35 In Helmand

According to the Afghan security officials, almost three dozen people were rescued in a raid against a Taliban prison in the southern province of Helmand.

Army and provincial officials added that the raid was carried out on November 12 last night in Nahr-e-Saraj resulted in the rescue of 35 prisoners from the Taliban prison. At least six  Taliban members were killed and six more were detained during the rescue operation. 

A similar operation was carried on 03 of August by the Afghan special forces that had freed 61 captives held by the Taliban.
