The Afghan Herald firmly believes that lasting peace in Afghanistan will come about with participation of Afghan women in peace negotiations with the Taliban and all other parties involved. Afghan women share equal responsibility in building and sustaining a prosperous Afghanistan that will be respectful and inclusive of all genders and ethnicities.
In honor of March being women’s history month, we are launching the Hear Her series. The Afghan Herald’s Hear Her series will not be limited to only one month but it will be the beginning of news initiative to provide Afghan women an uncensored platform to share their perspective on peace, politics, and culture.
The Afghan Herald had always been an English only publication. We will make the exception of publishing Dari and Pashto articles for the Hear Her series. We want to provide an inclusive platform and will not allow language to be a barrier. Translations will be made into English.
We want you to share articles and opinion pieces for publication. All entries for consideration should be no longer than 750 words. Please email your article to firstname.lastname@example.org. The subject line of the email must be your full name, followed by the title of your piece and a short bio.
We welcome everyone to join the conversation with the hashtag #HearHer.
