KABUL: Twin explosions took place in the limits of 10th police district of Shahr-e-Naw near the Attorney General Office (AGO), in capital Kabul followed by gun fires still ongoing.
According to security officials the target was a humanitarian office known as the Counterpart and the Afghan Special Forces are in the area to take control of the situation.
The blast occurred at around 11:45 am today (Wednesday). The nature of the blast is yet to be ascertained and security forces have not yet commented so far on the casualties.
The heavy explosion disrupted the calm in Kabul on Wednesday morning, nearly 20 days after a complex attack on a government building in the city which left more than a dozen people dead.
The Taliban have taken the responsibility of the attack.
