Three killed, 14 wounded in Kabul explosion


A car bomb explosion occurred in Kabul City at around 9am on Friday, the Ministry of Interior said.
Ministry of Interior spokesman Najib Danish said the explosion targeted a foreign forces convoy which was passing through the Qabel Bai area in Kabul’s PD9.
He said explosives were placed on a Suzuki vehicle and was exploded by suicide bomber when the foreign forces convoy arrived at the area.
He said one person was killed and 14 others were wounded in the explosion.
A security source told TOLOnews, a local TV station, that three people were killed in the explosion.
Residents of Qabel Bai said some houses in the area were damaged in the incident.
No group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
This comes after Kabul hosted the second Kabul Process conference on Wednesday in which the Afghan government made a peace offer to the Taliban.
