In a meeting with the UN Secretary General’s Special Representative for Afghanistan, Taliban’s political deputy Prime Minister said that their government has fulfilled all the conditions and it should be recognized, according to a report by Taliban-run Bakhar News Agency.
Mawlawi Abdul Kabir also said that their establishment wants active engagement with the international community, but asking United Nations to lift sanctions on their officials, according to the agency.
“Daesh is a global threat, adding their government have rooted out the group in Afghanistan. He also said that Taliban believe in dialogue as well as in an inclusive system,” he added, as qouted by the agency.
The special representative of the United Nations Secretary General for Afghanistan said in the meeting that the UN will continue to deliver aid to the country.
Roza Otunbayeva emphasized on solving Afghanistan’s problems through dialogue, and said that the United Nations will work in this field, Bakhtar News Agency concluded as saying.
