A Kuwaiti football manager, Abdullah Al Mutairi, has beem introduced as the new head coach of the Afghanistan national football team.
Al Mutairi will accompany the Afghanistan national team in the Asian qualifiers.
Al Mutairi, is the successor of Anoush Dastgir, the head coach who was fired from this position after getting poor results with the Afghanistan national football team.
The new head coach is supposed to find talent among local players and Afghan footballers in other international leagues.
The selection camp of the Afghanistan national football team is supposed to be held in Kabul to identify the top players within the country. Also, the players who are outside of Afghanistan will participate in the training camps and the best players will be invited to join the Afghanistan national football team.
More details about the coaching background of the Kuwaiti head coach have not been released. The Afghanistan Football Federation says that he will travel to Kabul soon to sign the contract.
